I've had a Metro customer card for several years now. I always enjoy shopping there, both in Gomaringen and Albstadt. The selection is truly vast and diverse. The meat and sausage department deserves special mention. The quality is outstanding, as confirmed by a butcher friend of mine. Another very positive aspect is the fact that all the employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. Even as they walk by, they greet customers, which isn't always the case these days. Here, you really feel valued as a customer. The discount promotions and gift offers are also a nice touch from Metro. And the parking situation is excellent, with plenty of covered parking spaces available in bad weather.

If you don't know what kind of shop it is, you can look it up online: it says "Metro" is an inflected form of "Metrum," which means meter, and "Gastro" is a prefix meaning stomach. So it seems to be a ventriloquist's supply shop. At least they have peanuts, but I don't know if they have Slavonian kulen (pronounced "Slavonian kulen," but you have to look very bearded to do it).
